![]() trees reflected in an office window, aylesbury, england June 24, 2008 The idea is to hack away at the flesh. To trim back so only the lean remains. About a year ago I was always on the edge of having no more photos to post. I think it kept me on my toes. But recently I filled out round the middle. Porked out. I'm bigger bellied and it's made me slack. I have two sheets of negatives that I haven't even scanned in. It's true. A year ago they'd have been on the scanner before all the nasty chemicals had time to dry. Now I sit here sipping port and contemplating the chances of getting gout in the next week. I need to get rid of all my photos by posting one photo every day until I'm on the edge of starvation. It's the only way to live. The problem is that our computer, a four year old eMac, is clanking away and doesn't want to help me with my mission. Crash after crash after crash after frozen screen. I think it's on its last legs. A quick scan on the internet shows me that it's a common problem with eMacs of a similar age. They're not growing old gracefully.
