 Lomo website sells Felt Holga Protector April 10, 2008 For a very small speck of mischief I posted the above photo and this message on toycamera.com's forum: Just seen this handmade 'Felt Holga Protector' on the Lomo website for $129.99. That really is taking the biscuit. I wonder how many they will sell at that price? I bet Meg White would buy one if they were sold in red. Or white. Or red and white stripes. Here are some of the reactions: 'That is the ugliest damned thing I have ever seen! Are you sure someone didn't spray a Holga with adhesive and empty a Dustbuster on it?!' 'I wouldn't take even for free...' 'Yuck! Bad craftsmanship, bad design, bad color... did they really have to make it a mix between avocado green and wheat yellow? Looks like a bad artifact from the 70's' It is amazing what can be done with dryer and belly button lint these days.' 'What really bothers me is the absurd price... insane!' 'A case only the Elephant Man could love.' I have now come clean and admitted that it's actually a lovely felt case my lovely felt wife made me for Valentine's Day. Perhaps the photo doesn't do it justice (there's a big red button on the back too) or perhaps people were outraged by the thought of Lomo selling more overpriced camera stuff to people who are gullible enough to buy it.
