I've just finished reading Affluenza by Oliver James. He tries to explain why we're all becoming fatter and more miserable. I liked it, although after looking at reviews on Amazon, lots of people didn't. Not in-depth enough and too flippant. Who needs in-depth? I'll sum it up for you. Don't buy things you don't need. Don't watch too much television. Don't mortgage yourself up to the hilt. Maybe move to Denmark. Get a hobby. If you've got kids, spend a lot of time with them. Simple. Now go and eat a family bag of crisps while flicking repeatedly through one hundred channels of absolute nonsense on the goggle box.
