Hello. Glad you could make it. I'm sorry that it's a little later than planned, but good parties don't start until late, do they? Throw your coat on the bed upstairs. Drinks are in the kitchen. It's pretty crowded in there but if you can squeeze through the bodies in the hall, there's beer in a bucket under the trestle table, white wine in the fridge. I'll get the champagne out at midnight. Oh yes, that's a bottle of chocolate cream liqueur I won on the church tombola. Try a drop. It's a bit sickly, but pretty nice. Just go easy. I've got the old Dansette out in the back room so feel free to rifle through the records and put on what you fancy. Yes, I know there's a lot of 80s New Romantic stuff. Blame that on my older sister.

That's Lisa across there playing Twister with Haggis Basher. He's looking a bit the worse for wear. Been in the pub most of the afternoon. Don't ask me how she bends into that position. Must be the yoga. Trotsky's outside again with Wardy smoking cigars. I've no idea what Michael's smoking. Let's not ask. Eddie's on the sofa with Tread, talking about the ideal time to plant potatoes. Eddie says Easter Sunday, Tread doesn't agree. Terrorkitten's flown back early from his hols in Crete specially to be here. That's him there, sprawled out behind the rubber plant. Peaked too early as usual. Torkel is here from Sweden. And you thought I made him up. Now do you believe me? Erinn's on the Playstastion with Becky, playing Fifa07. That's a football game. Yes, soccer to them I know. They're not very good either, but at least they're having fun. Angie, and the two Susan's (Susan and Susan S.) are doing some weird synchronized robotic dancing to Gary Numan underneath the glitterball in the front room. Our friends electric, eh? That must have taken some practice. Otto K's in the kitchen, devouring all the sausages on sticks. I thought he was supposed to be a veggie as well. Mind you, he looked starving when he arrived. Sandy's doing an impromptu poetry reading on the landing. She's like a female John Cooper Clarke. Wonderful stuff. Tammy's drunk a bottle of tequila and has already beaten most of the blokes at armwrestling. I thought she said she sipped that stuff.

If you notice a few strangers, that might be the crowd from Holga Weekly, a Flickr group I set up a month or so ago. They're a nice bunch. We have a live music night once every so often where we show our favourite Holga pictures. Nothing too noisy or pretentious. Join us if you're at a loose end.

Anyway, mingle and make some new friends. I know I have over the past twelve months. Here's the first photo I posted, one year ago today. Have a quick look how I looked back then. It's Plasticfantastic's birthday. Let's light the candle and cut the cake.

Just one more thing. If you haven't entered the competition, there's still time. Just chalk your answer on the chalkboard behind the kitchen door before you leave.
