cow tuesday number 4

cow tuesday number 4

Cow Tuesday is here again. How fast time goes by when you're having fun. Before anyone says anything about this not being a cow, I realise that it isn't, but I can't change Cow Tuesdays to another name now that peoples lives have come to depend on them. It's just too late. And please, no jokes about 'bull'.

In order to get such a close-up of Elgin the Bull, I had to climb the fence into his field. I'd been concerned that he might be a little docile and therefore not interested in having his portrait taken, so I therefore decided to tempt him into action by wearing nothing but my skimpy red swimming trunks. As soon as he saw me, his eyes lit up and he came galloping over. The memories bring tears to my eyes, but thankfully the resulting photo was, I think you'll agree, worth the pain.

Last might I watched This is England. A fantastic Shane Meadow's film set in England in the early 80s. Skinheads, music and racism, as seen through the eyes of an impressionable twelve year old boy. It's out on DVD. You'd like it too. Perhaps.
