Yes, I insist. Feel the silky smoothness. Caress those firm calf muscles. Wait, what's that? A patch of stubble. And what's that? A razor knick. Yes, these are Paul Raine's badly shaved legs. In order to gain any kind of advantage, Paul was prepared to shave his legs before cycling the Coast to Coast bicycle ride. We insisted that this kind of stuff was only for professionals, and even then it wasn't done for anything apart from vanity, no matter what was said about aerodynamics. We said that a better idea would have been to undertake a few preparatory cycle rides to build up his fitness. He said not. In the end, Paul proved the fittest out of all five of us. King of the Mountains. So perhaps it was worth it after all. If you could reach out and roll down those sexy black socks, you'd see that he'd shaved his legs while still wearing a pair of socks.
