![]() window and corrugated iron shed, orford ness number 1, suffolk, england May 03, 2007 I was inundated with entries for my 'name the woman on Southwold beach' competition. The quality of names that were suggested were absolutely staggering. Today is the glittering awards ceremony and I've just been passed the golden envelope by my glamorous assistant. My hands are trembling. Well, here goes. Is it? It can't be. It is... I'm thrilled to announce that Susan from jojofoto is the winner, with the suggested name of 'Holga Schmidt'. Please put your hands together as Susan takes to the stage to accept the award. The crowd are going wild and calling for a speech. The wonderful prize will be with you shortly, Susan. Well done to all the other entrants. Don't be disappointed if your name wasn't chosen as more competitions will be held shortly. We've been wandering round Suffolk for a bit looking at beach huts and boats, but now it's time to take a trip. Come with us now on a journey through time and space, to the world of Orford Ness. While waiting for the little ferry, let's wander off across to the old, rusty fisherman's sheds and take a photo of a window. Well, they're just so irresistible aren't they. Hang on, is that Amy shouting? Buggar, the ferry is about to leave. We'll have to run for it. Come on! Quick! Holga CGFN + Fujifilm Superia 400 © James Arnold 2007 Comment (10) | Permalink |
