It seems that the general consensus is that I need to go down the humane route when trying to deal with our mouse problem. With two of our extended family receiving splitting headaches in two days, I'm feeling a little guilty. They really are as cute in death as they are in life. Even cuter perhaps. My only worry with humane traps is that once caught I have to drive them to an unfamiliar neighbourhood, taking them away from friends and family. Once released, there is every possibility that they will fall into a life of drink, drugs and prostitution. And I would be the one to blame.

Up in Derbyshire last weekend for a few days away with friends, we visited Riber Castle. It's a ruined Victorian pile that overlooks the town of Matlock. Armed with a Holga each, Amy and myself set off to find great photo opportunities, the results of which I will share, along with a little history of the place, very soon. Amy often likes to remind me that she received better grades than me in every photography project we were set at college and the tension as we walked round the ruins was noticeable.

Thanks for all the entries I've received for my 'name the woman on Southwold beach' competition. The competition is now closed. The quality of entries has been astounding and I shall be posting the winner's name on Thursday, with a prize winging its way round the world very soon. See here for the entries.
