![]() boat on aldeburgh beach, suffolk, england April 27, 2007 The mouse problem continues. A scream from the kitchen and I rushed in to see my father-in-law brandishing a broom. He'd trapped a mouse between the skirting board, the broom and the refrigerator but was unable to move in case the poor thing escaped. I grabbed a glass from the draining board and dropped it over the mouse, slid a piece of paper under the bottom and picked it up. We had a hostage. But what to do with him? I opened the front door, walked across the road and dropped it down over the neighbours wall. I'm hoping that it won't dare cross back over the road and will take up residence in the Old Vicarage instead. I know that this picture isn't really a beach hut or a shed, but it's wooden and lives by the sea so I think it can be included in my 'Sheds in Sussex' series . The time you have left to enter my 'name the woman on Southwold beach' competition is coming to an end. You've got until the 30th April. Don't delay, enter today. There is a wonderful prize to be won. Please, I urge you to enter. Do it for the sake of the future of the planet. See here for details.
