![]() fat woman smoking a cigarette opposite york minster February 06, 2007 All good things have to come to an end. My little run of childhood memories has finished (see previous seven posts) as I'm completely out of images. Lots of memories left, but nothing to illustrate them. They've been quite popular and I've enjoyed the series, but at the same time the memories have left me feeling rather sad. It all seems a lifetime ago and at the same time it feels like yesterday. Before I know it I'll be sixty and then I'll be seventy, then perhaps if I'm lucky I'll be eighty. Then I'm dead. The end. On a cheerier note, I'm looking forward to the Green Man Festival. I shall be booking our family tickets soon. Lots of nice music, tree hugging, vegetables, acoustic guitars, smiles and real ale. Sounds terrible, but it's great. Like a village fete crossed with your favourite aunties wedding. Joanna Newsom has just been announced as playing on the Friday. Go on, buy a ticket. Let's meet up outside the falafal tent at 1pm on the Saturday. I'll be holding a pint of Old Fart and you wear your purple tie dyed kaftan. This is a photo from my new series of fat people smoking. It's the only one I've managed to get so far, but I'm aiming to take more as the year progresses. Stellar (Diana clone) + Ilford HP5+ © James Arnold 2007 Comment (21) | Permalink |
